I am newbie looking for information regarding a 1987 Raleigh (US) Grand Prix. The archives and other websites have information up to 1986, but I have not found anything for the 1987. Does anyone know the original configuration or have a catalog page?

The frame is painted the same as the 1986 frames and the main tubes remain 531, but I think the components are different. Were the 1987 models spec'ed by Huffy or Derby? The sale occurred in 1987 but I would think that Huffy would have still done the specifications since that would have been done before the sale. Just wondering since there are so many great memories out there. Thanks for the help.

If it's seafoam green and pastel purple, it's an '86 that was carried over and sold in '87. Should have Shimano 105 components.

The serial number is 7AN..... Following the SN format from The Headbadge, the bike was manufactured in 1987 and does not appear to be a carry over from '86. The color is as described in the previous post.

I looked at the catalog page from '86 and the components are a little different. Only the shifters and brake levers are 105. The rear derailleur, front derailleur, and brakes are Shimano parts but not part of a group (The words Light Action appear on the rear derailleur). I am trying to figure out if this is the original configuration.

Light Action, 105 and Reynolds 531 do not mesh logically. Trust me, I own one. A friend stripped the complete 105 group himself.

I'm with Realestvin7 on this. I believe it to be an 86. I also own the same bike with Shimano 105 group.
