especially after I saw the Shimano deer head RD....it's filthy and needs tires; but everything works and it appears to be in good shape....$60 at the thrift store. I would not have paid that at a garage sale; but it's a good cause (not a chain store) and $60 is in the ball park. And there was an additional bonus of a Miche Competition rear hub as well....

I would have given sixty bucks in a heart beat. I like old Benottos and yours looks decent.

My guess is that you will like the ride quality.

60 bones is a great price!! No matter where it was from. A great beater or, it could be a rider if you threw on a nicer crankset and bottom bracket. Winter fixed gear, maybe? It's got eyelets, nice to find on a "Sport" model. I would take it completely apart and repack everything, of course. It's nice to see a Benotto from the middle of their range.

I agree with everyone else. $60 isn't a bad deal. The components aren't necessarily high end but the frame/decals look to be in nice shape and I bet it will clean up very nicely. Great find!

I also second the 'great buy', the set of Miche Competition hubs I had were smooth as butter, though be warned I bought a similarly filthy Benotto last summer and had to resort to cutting the stem out.

Classy! And nice angle on the fork, the average person will cry about toe overlap probably, but I love the feel of the handling.
