I don't read cycling mags or such, but I think Bicycling does a buyers guide every year or so, right?

Anyway, just wondering if there's anything like a periodically updated list that kind follows this concept:

Feasible? Good idea? Bad idea?

I haven't seen a regularly updated list of cycling products but almost every bicycle related mag has a buyers guide or has an article rating new bikes or gear.
You don't have to subscribe to any magazine. Simply look through them at the book store (Borders, BN, etc) and buy the ones that have the information you're looking for and want to read.

For what it's worth, I saw one of their "best" issues, and almost didn't get back into cycling. Actually, it was their mountainbike publication. They seemed really enthused about some model of hardtail that was a fairly good bike even though it came in at slightly less than $2,000. I just knew I was stuck with a Huffy in my price range.

Yeah, maybe we should make a bikeforums.net one. Surely we can reach some sort of consensus. . .
