1. Tiralongo 2. Contador (+0) 3. Nibali (+6sec)

Tiralongo had a lead of 15sec. with 1km to go and then Contador attacked from the bunch, passed Gaderet, Rodriguez and overtook former Astana teammate Tiralongo. "Hey Paolo, hitch a ride" then road shotgun as Tiralongo crossed the line to win the stage.

It's called helping friends and infuencing people.

What a nice guy. It's not like he could have just sat back, and finished a few seconds later. His GC lead is too small.

That was definitely a touch of class from Alberto. Tiralongo even said in his interview that Contador tapped him on the shoulder and told him when it would be a good time to attack.

At first when Contador kept looking behind, I was thinking, "What's he worried about? He's got 5 minutes on GC." Then I figured out that he was looking after Tiralongo in making sure that no one would catch up and take his stage win. Classy move.

that's what you do when you're that far ahead...Simoni did the same thing for Julio Perez once. Perez wanted the KOM jersey, so Simoni said to stay on his wheel and he'd get him the stage win. Simoni didn't care that much about the stage or KOM points...
apparently there was nasty crash, Marco Pinotti is out and he was having a great giro! it sucks when it happens to close to the finish...
i didn't see any photos or footage, anyone see what happened?

Saw Craig Lewis being taken away in an ambulance on the live feed but there wasn't any mention of Pinotti. Lots of trees at crash site and TV coverage was only from helicopter.

19 was a tough stage with the rain. It also affected the TV coverage. This years Giro has been very lucky with the weather so far.

Russell Downing crashing twice (once down an incline into trees) and still managing to finish. True Brit.

That was super classy of AC. He smoked everyone and helped pull the astana rider when he easily could have blown by him

I saw the post one of the rider hit. it was small, about headtube high and had a straw bail infront of it. You can see a bit of it on the right
