I am buying new tires for my bike (EZ-1 which has a 16 inch front wheel and 20 inch back wheel) and trying to look for something that has as much flat protection as possible or maybe even a flat proof tire like amerityre tires. (www.amerityre.com) Has anyone ehre tried amerityre tires before? I have been researching a lot about airless tires and around half like them and the other half don't. Some have said about rim damage but not sure what to think of that. Its hard to say really. On one hand I really would love to have a flatless bike tire on the other I am thinking that the airless tires may not be as good as I think. Like they say if its to good to be true it usually is. Its just so hard to tell. I guess the only real way is to try. The reason I am looking toward a flatless tire is because I want to have the piece of mind of not ever getting a flat tire. I don't mind changing them I just rather not ever get a flat.

You might want to hold out a little longer.

Greenspeed is working with a company to try to create 16" and 20" puncture resistent tires by not having to use inner tubes. You can read about it here. (http://greenspeed.com.au/newsletter6.htm)

The company they are working with is called NoTubes. (http://www.notubes.com/)
