Hello,
I've searched old threads and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for- maybe it is my searching (dis)ability or that it just hasn't been answered.

Three years ago I packed my tandem in two regular bike boxes following step by step instructions I found online but I can't find the instructions now!

Does anyone know a link to such instructions? It will be (just as last time) sitting in a moving van with a residential moving company for 7-14 days and it will be insured, but I want to protect it from damage if at all possible.

I would use a mattress box so you won't need to take the bike apart, just turn the bars side ways, remove pedals and roll it in. If you use the 2 box method then it needs to be taken apart like a regular bikes. So front wheel off, front fender off, pedals off, mark bars to stem placement then take handlebars off, seat posts off, brace fork ends and any lbs will have the fork brace and boxes. Put front wheel next to the r/front crank arm. put the h/bars in front of the fork or lay over the top tube for the front set. you might be able to leave rear seatpost on depending on the frame size and box sizes.

You might be able to get a tandem box at a dealer, if you can give them enough lead time. If it is S&S coupled, it is just a process
of fitting the sections and parts in each one.
