Hello.... I need information on this bike.
From the reactions I get when people see it, I am sure that it is a true classic. I am looking to sell it but I am not sure how much to ask. I have seen other Rossin road-bikes ranging from $300 to $2200. My intent is to sell it and upgrade to something newer. Any information would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

I believe Rossin still exists. You could email them for more information on your particular model.
That being said, I believe thats a Columbus SL framed bike with - obviously Dura Ace group set.
I'll give you $300. :)
Just kidding. I'd expect to see above $1K. Please tell me you didn't get that for $10 at a yard sale. :)

I have been seeing a counselor from my church for the past 4 years. The guys name is Reverend Keith Poppen and he had also counseled and mentored another gentlemen for the past 15 years. After Keith talked to him about me getting into road bikes he offered up this as kind of a pay it forward kind of deal. The guy who owned it apparently won a few races on this bike. I had know idea how rare and valuable it was until I began to get many reactions from it. Anyway that's the story of how I received it.

I think you ought to keep it if it fits you. A gift like this may mean more to you later.

With that braze-on repair on the downtube? You must be daft.
The value of that frame is in its groupset. Unless the OP could locate a skilled painter (such as Gary Cole; now retired) to respray just the downtube (unlikely, seeing that the frame is fillet brazed and not lugged), it isn't going to hold much value in its present state.

I've never seen a Rossin like this. Fillet brazed? The fork certainly has the Rossin pantograph but other Rossin signature features are missing. Perhaps something from late in Rossin's life or something done by someone who had bought the Rossin name. Definitely after early 80s. Unless it is some really rare special Rossin, which I doubt, then a few hundred dollars.
