Anyone have any information or experience with these?

Seems like a decent price and weight for a 30mm wheelset. I believe they came stock on '09 Fuji Track pros and comps.

The weight is very attractive, but they are out of stock (I tried to order them). I emailed the company and got some ridiculous reply saying they would have to special order them for me (something like 45 days) and that shipping to america would take an additional 6 weeks or something. Also their shipping costs $10 more than they say it does. Lame.

I think a fellow member on here races with these. They are great wheels, the rims are KinLin rebrands and they are built by good hands.

Hamish is right though, ordering through BDop could be a little tedious as they are located in Taiwan.

Thanks for the plug but those aren't the bolt-on version that cc was talking about. However, I'm working on getting them because we're going to start doing some wheel builds and those would be a nice option. :)

Man, if you did all-black Kinlin+Novatec wheelbuilds I would throw my money at you. Just sayin'.

Kinlins seem to be pretty tough to get ahold of wholesale without buying a boatload of them.

edit: I think Angie may have found a distributor. Working on it. :thumb:

Wheel build kits are a great idea. DIY!

I'm sorry you felt our reply was ridiculous. Perhaps it wasn't explained well enough.

We are at the end of the model year. Eurobike and Interbike shows are right around the corner so new models will be released there. After those shows we will be ordering 2012 versions of all wheels.

We are sold out. Factories do NOT carry inventory. Anything ordered from a factory is built to order. Typical lead times are about 45 days from when we PAY FOR the order until it is delivered to our offices.

This holds true with any factory.

The pricing for shipping was posted incorrectly on our site but has since been corrected. Shipping for wheels is 5~7 business days.

As to the idea of build kits this is certainly possible and something we often suggest to cut shipping by more than half. If you can build your own wheels it is a more cost effective (and fun) way to go.

I have these and yes they came stock on my heavily discounted NOS 09' track pro ;)

It's being used mainly as a commuter for about 8 months now, day in day out. Very sweet wheels, no complains here.

accurate portrayal.

My bad, (and my apologies BDopizzle) I went back and actually read the email again. You said 21 days for shipping, not 6 weeks.

Next time it would be nice for you to say something like "we're out of these, and don't expect to get anymore in, however we may be getting them next year". I was a little put off by the fact that the wheels were out of stock yet still listed on your site, combined with your offer to sell me something different. It felt a little bit like a bait-and-switch, hence my negativity.

Apologies again.
