BMX - worst BMX injury.......

i have been doing tricks for less than a month. once i crashed and sprained my wrist. hurt like a mofo for a week and a half

a bad concussion i was out for like30 mins at least lol i got the crash on tape tho it was awsome, and split open my right leg once-not too bad bout 1/8-1/4 in. deep ummm adn sprained my ankle

i broke my arm and had a mild concussion in one wreck.

ummmm.....did a front flip of a little ramp (not purposly) and one of the pegs got me in tha head...5 inches long and 1 deep

I broke two ribs at fdr a few years back. If you've ever seen it, I rode up the front of the "finger" spine in the front of the park(before the back was there) and I tried to wall ride off of that.. I went to high and tried to carve wayyy to quickly and just fell straight down to the ground from about 11 feet and my bar hit me in the chest... it sucked.. really, really bad.. I had tyo ride my bike to get to my friends house to get a ride home.. it sucked alot.. I can bend the one side of my ribs alot easier than the other now though.

ooh. just concusion and sprains. i bounce cuz wen i was little i OD on calcium so doctor says i'm practically indestructable.

Lets see, before we had a bmx bike, fractured my arm & tore the skin outta my elbows using a bannana seat bike to try bmx tricks. Later, flew over the bars when a chain snapped & scraped my shoulder raw on pavement. Both those sucked.

about a week ago I over jumped onto a picknic table and I swan dived into the pavement almost got a concussion and scraped up my face pretty bad I had a pool of blood in my ear by the end of the night (from a cut in my ear). And after thinking about it I realized when I hit my head actualy bounced off the pavement and then hit again. Being me I rode the rest of the night.

he means that if you ride street and are serious, then only really really reaaaallllyyy serious injuries are going to stop you from riding.

a concussion...well a couple, but one was pretty significant, I don't remember riding the second round at all
Best of all, "fractured" my spleen. The organ ruptured except for the very thin outer membrane. A few days in the ICU with my blood counts being taken hourly, while an OR was ready for me at all times in case they had to go in. It was a couple of weeks (after the actual crash) before the membrane let loose which is what sent me to the hospital. It very nearly killed me. I spent the next couple of months getting CT scans weekly, then several more months getting them monthly, and it was nearly a year before it was actually healed. Needless to say, I was off the bike for over a year, as even a minor impact would have killed me before they ever got an ambulance to me.

I won't even bother with the scrapes, cuts, and punctures.

i know a kid who tore his liver racing. it was gnarly!

I'm going to go with seven sprained ankles, all on the left ankle. It sucks having to ride with an ankle brace.

worst is going over a jump and losing control of bars for landing, ouch, so that's skin ripped off my hand so could see muscle.
Next ; shopping bag caught in my front wheel, I went over bars, concussion and night in hospital.
More recently 2 weeks ago, I was trying manuals and tore my right shoulder muscle, 2 weeks of agony and off all sport pretty much.
2 years ago we set a jump over my mates pond, I did it in the dark, hit the farside, and over the bars, landing on a rock, lot of facial grazing and torn left shoulder muscle - hospital visit...again, my mate did the same jump, nearly 1 year to the day = he ended up with a spiral fracture in his left calf, so plaster & crutches for 6 months, pins in his bone for 1 year.
He's 30 and will never do any tricks of any sort ever again, except windsurfing, loved snowboarding, I decided though, I'm same age as him @ 30 years old, to get right on it and do as much as I can as you never know what will happen in the future etc.

the worst injury i've ever had is a painful spate of death. it was a bad time as i was put in a wooden box and buried 6 feet underground.

My friend who used to race BMX (now a sponsored MTB Freerider by Kona) while racing, broke ne of the vertabrae in his neck, lucky there was no cord damage, sever concusion, out cold for 10 mins and boke his arm all in the one crash. Also he has broken a couble of bones and some severs sprains. Now because of others spills he wears ankle braces for support from one accident and a preventative for the other ankle.

i broke both the bones in my lower leg side hopping a 6 ft ledge to flat, sat out 3 months of summer, got back on my bike and a month later i broke it again doing a crank flip on a 5 ft step down, and thats where i am know. its weird that i break stuff doing moderatly small ****.

I landed on my butt a lot of times, bruseing my tailbone and sending my bike into a 100 year old maple tree. I had to get it fixed after that. I've also cut my knees up really bad on gravel. These aren't that bad but i hope i do not get any worse.

I paralized my right leg for about a week and i also paralized my right arm cause i landed on myfriends bike after he fell in front of me lol

They were paralized for about a week. I landed on my hip really hard and it cut a gash about a quarter inch I also hit my head really hard and the bike landed on me and the peg hit me on the head I couldn't use my right leg. It really hurt. The other injury my arm landed directly on my buddy's back peg. The first one is how i got my nic name of gimpy cause i walked really funny when i was off the crutches.

well i wouldnt call this the worst riding injury but the funniest
well i once foung this really long scroll type thing of wire and i tied it to a street pole then tied the other end to my cousins back peg he didnt know so he started riding and like a block away did an from the wire and fell on his chin it was so funny even he laughed then we saw his bike moving and there was this guy pulling the wire so we pulled back got the bike off the wire and tied the wire to a tree and the stupid guy kept pulling
