Picked up this nice Bianchi frame/fork about a year ago. Still working on setting up the build. Since it came as a frame only, I really don't feel bad about putting new parts on it, going to set it up 9speed STI. I've been a shop mechanic for years, and there's something about updating these classic frames with new parts, its a beautiful thing.
Here are some photos I took, tried to get as many of the important details I could. There are no identifying decals aside from the SLX tubing badge. Also, the paint is a metal-flake Celeste color that I have not really seen on another Bianchi. That and the chrome drive-side chainstay on a bike with that decal, seem to be a rare combination.
Everyone here seems to be very helpful and knowledgeable in these kinds of things, hopefully someone might be able to shed some light. Thanks.

it looks like a '89 Mondiale, Super Leggera, or Giro frame. the color of the decals is slightly different than shown in the catalogs but it is better look. the color is Mint Celeste. very nice frame

Thanks for the help. No idea where I am going to find touch up paint for it, thats a problem for another time. I tried super-imposing images of other era frames on top of mine to see if I could match the geometry with one of those models, but thats easier said than done.

where are you? if your not in the US that could explain the change in the decal. try nail polish for touchup. the geomentry is pretty standard Bianchi. 73d hedtube and depending on size.... that looks like a 55? the seattube would be 75d on a 57 it is 74.

I'm from the US, but who knows where the frame came from. Also, good idea on the nail polish, although i'm going to get some funny looks carrying that thing into Macy's
