Hi, I need some info on how accurate the calculation for coil springs are from this site
http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/Content/mtbspringratecalculator.htm

If you could go to the site and run the calculations with your individual data and let me know how accurate it is to your set up, and also let me know the kind of ride you have whether it be soft, firm or hard, and style of riding (DJ, DH, XC etc). It would be good to know, as to compare real world to theoretical. This could help in choosing the right spring for anyone going that route.

Thanks a Bunch.

When I had the XLT, I ordered a Van R for it. I called Fox and they ran it through their calculator. I'm assuming they used the same values in that one. It was spot on, perfect. With that bike, I preferred around 30% sag and rode pretty hard. Lots of banging around, smaller drops, stair cases, yada.

I just keyed in all the info for my Yeti 303R DH. It came shipped with a 450# spring, which was oversprung for my weight - - and which I changed out for a 400# that is now just right. Calculator spit out 400#. Dead on.

Great guys that's the exact info I need. Thank you, I just wanted to make sure their Calculator was spitting out real world info.

Thanks again.
