I've been doing planks regularly (using wii fit) to help with core strength.

But I was having difficulty...one of my feet has developed plantar fasciitis, pain along the bottom of the foot, and the tip-toe position doesn't help with the pain.

Today I had a brainwave...what if I wear cycling shoes? And, problem solved. I just hope I don't damage the cycling shoes.

ANYWAY. Anyone have other suggestions for core exercises that would be easy on feet and knees?

The best exercises I've found for increasing core strength are full-speed sprints and climbing out of the saddle.

Planks and the various crunches have never done much for me, mostly because they're too boring to hold my interest for long enough to get any benefit out of them.

do crunches and "supermen" which is when you lie on your stomach, arms and legs extended. you lift your arms and legs at the same time and hold it; it's a great lower back workout...very helpful for biking

You can also do planks from your knees, although they're a bit easier that way.
