Hey everyone!

I ordered this saddle from amazon a few days ago.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C17L2W

Unfortunately it's out of stock and someone from niagra saddleworks told me i could pick one of their saddles under $30 as a replacement, or cancel the order. As I'm on a tight budget, I cant afford a really nice brooks saddle or anything like that, so this is looking as good as it gets.

I'm 6"5 400lbs. My bro might also use it who's 6"1 350 pounds. We're both big guys but don't necessarily know how wide our sitbones are. I ride a trek 7200 in a more upright position.

$30 and under, for a big man. Any thoughts?

thanks!

Save up for a Brooks B17

If you're REALLY on a tight budget, I recommend Persons saddles as a cheap Brooks knockoff - http://www.permaco.com/ (click on the "Persons Saddles" in the bottom of the left frame).

They probably won't last as long as a Brooks, but you should get a few years on them, which should be enough time to save for a Brooks.

Check out the Velo Plush (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&ds=pr&sugexp=ldymls&pq=planet%20bike%20ars%20mens&xhr=t&q=Velo%20Plush&cp=6&pf=p&sclient=psy&tbm=shop&source=hp&aq=0&aqi=&aql=&oq=Velo+P&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=3ea46e83946470cf&biw=1016&bih=575). Otherwise I am sure other stores have the Planet Bike ARS. (http://www.google.com/#q=planet+bike+ars+mens&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=usLmTe6nGobagAfDpICcCw&ved=0CE4QrQQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=3ea46e83946470cf&biw=1016&bih=575) However saddles are so personal, you really don't know until you try them. Also look at the Body Geometry,Terry, and WTB lines. Some of the Nashbar (http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/CatalogSearchResultView?catalogId=10052&storeId=10053&langId=-1&sortBy=Dollar+Rank%2f%2f1&searchType=categoryId&searchTerm=202449&beginIndex=0&pageSize=16&ipState=c0%3di%253A1%253B3%253Biphrase%2bbundle%2btaxonomy%2bid%2bfrom%2broot%253B202449%253B%253A20 2449%253B1%252C1%253B0%26q%3d16%26a1%3diphrase%2bbundle%2btaxonomy%252F%252Fv%253A0%26a0%3diphrase%2 brelevance%252F%252Fv%253A0%26i%3dsitemap%2bid%26k0.0%3d202449%26qt%3d1306962776%26qid%3dqEyTwGtBXKh fd%26vid%3dv48pHESdGRPk1%26ioe%3dUTF-8%26s2%3dsitemap%2bid%252F%252F1%26qtid%3dqEyTwGtBXKhfd%26s1%3diphrase%2brelevance%252F%252F0%26rid% 3drGzbOiBtWdNIN%26s0%3dDollar%2bRank%252F%252F1%26t%3d0%26m0%3diphrase%2bbundle%2bid%26mcmode%3dtest&cn1=f02%2f%2fNashbar%2f%2ff%2f%2f0%2f%2f5%7c%7c&categoryId=202449) saddles tend to be Velo's repackaged as well.

B17 is wide enough for a big butt like mine?

I have found this one to be quite comfortable for more upright riding. It's only flaw is that it sits farther forward on the seat post and puts more weight on your arms. If you can get an angled seat post to move it back an inch or two it would be great.

Here it is on my bike. I actually got mine at a local Kmart store for $27
