Framebuilders - JB Weld Strong Enough for Braze-ons?

I know it's a silly question but I'm looking to experiment. Would JB Weld be strong enough to hold a DT shifter boss and cable stop? I'm looking to put a DT shifter (indexed) on a head tube for an upright town bike. I know I could get it brazed on by one of our local framebuilders but I'm not 100% about how this would work and I'm just tinkering here.

Thoughts?

If you are just tinkering, see if you can use clamp-on shifter bosses instead to test function and adjust the position, then have bosses brazed-on later once you know where you want them. JB weld would probably be sufficiently strong for temporary testing but I doubt it would be a good long-term solution.
You dont necessarily need to find a skilled framebuilder for adding a few braze-ons. A local welding repair shop or a garage hack that knows how to braze could do this pretty easily.

Check ebay or ask on Classic & Vintage subforum. Know the diameter of your downtube.

powder coat doesn't have stupendous adhesion. It mainly stays on because it's tough. So if you yank on your wire, the powdercoat may fail.
