Well I did it, moved to the dark side, or at least going to visit for a bit :)

I just ordered a Voodoo Canzo 29er FS frame with Rock Shox rear. The plan is to order a Motobecane XO / SID build from Bikes Direct as the donor bike for most of the build out. BD is out of stock on the bike I need right now, but should have more in in a couple of weeks. Until then I will strip down my backup bike ( GF Paragon ) to give me a chance to see how me and FS will get along. If all goes well in a couple to 3 weeks weeks I will get a BD bike in, put the stuff back on the Paragon, and sell off the Motobecane frame and other parts I don't want to use. I added it up several different ways and by far this was the most cost effective way I could find to build it. If anyone has a better idea, by all means please share.
Will post some photos as the stuff comes in.

Good idea, with the attractive pricing of the BD bikes, it's like the frame is free. And you can always dump that on the classifieds.
After years of riding my GF hardtail I bit the bullet and bought a Santa Cruz Blur. The suspension is amazing, most notably on descents when the rear tire remains nicely in contact with the ground, instead of trying to endo me over the bars. Also learned that climbing is much more effective sitting in the saddle, letting the rear sus keep the traction coming. Had to change my riding style a little bit, but loving it.

Well the Frame came in, and I stripped my GF Paragon down and used the parts to build it out for the time being. Really wanted to order a BD SRAM OX bike as a donor bike for the final build, but they are way backordered. It will cost more but I may have to go with a build kit and piece it out from one of the online places unless I can find a donor on CL or ebay. At least its built and I can ride it, so far I like it a lot, had to make some changes to the rear suspension. I think once I get the final build on it I will be happy. I am not sure it will replace my Niner EMD as my main ride, but it will defiantly get some trail time. :thumb:
