My daughter called awhile back and wondered if I had any beater bikes kicking around that her Boy Freind could have once they moved to Chicago.

Well they're both great kids (are they still kids at 22 years old?) and they both just graduated with honors from MSOE so this is what the car looked like when we drove out to Milwaukee last week....

When they get truely settled in perhaps I'll have the opportunity to seriously upgrade his ride. :)

cranky old dude has a soft spot??

My daughter has two young ladies from Brazil here for an education.
They are 14. When they got here, year ago April I got them new
bikes, they insisted they only need one, they could share!

Kind of puts you in your place. They are a blessing to be around.
Char and Chris!

Yes they are still kids, sounds like good kids tho. Boyfriends have cost me a lot of stuff, not a bike yet, he just borrows an older 1.

Poor Boyfriend. Giving him one of your old bikes- Looks a heavy chromo frame- Nutted wheels and there are definitely more than 16 spokes on that front wheel and you have even left the reflectors on. Bet he hasn't even got Lycra to wear whilst riding it.

Wish I could have got away that cheap with my son-in-law. He cost me a lot of looking and a new bike.

Still- there is the training curve that he has to take before he graduates to buying his own bike. Reckon you haven't lost the bike forever though as it will probably be back for servicing and new tyres periodically.
