Commuting - Is this a good craigslist buy?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So, I'm still willing to spend some dough on a new bike, but this looked interesting to me. Anyone who was in my other thread, please comment:

It's been deleted, it says.
Haha, lol. Well it looked killer. It was a 90's specialized Rockhopper for 75 dollars. Looked like it was in great shape. Darn.

This might make a nice commuter. Some people on this forum has this brand of bike and really like it. The bigger frame might be nice for commuting but you might want to get something else for your other type of riding.
Interesting. Thanks for looking through the CL for me! I tried to flag keywords, but didn't know what the hell I was looking at in some of the titles.

Wichita CL doesn't have that many bikes just look through everything for a few days. I have been keeping my eye on CL there when I am really bored because my Mom lives there. If you want a 90's mtb just keep looking and there will be plenty of options. There is a Trek 930 posted earlier today as well. heck if you find a bike with a frame you really like you can really pimp it out. I have a Diamondback Vertex WCF that's pretty awesome (has and old suspention fork but I use it for my mtb) I got a few years ago at a Pawn shop. You could try that route if its not out of the way. Some pawn shops have nothing and if they have anything worthwhile they want way too much for it.
