Mountain Biking - Missing College Student/Southern Indiana

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hey BF'ers in the Southern Indiana if you havn't already heard the search for a missing IU student is in its 5th day. I think you'll get more views in the regional forum. Moving to Great Lakes.

I'm gong to actually keep a copy in Road as well, due to the traffic and copy it to Mountain Bikes as well, since there's a huge Mountain Bike Community down in Brown County.

No one likes the thought of a missing person, but there are over 800,000 reported missing each year in the US. In the interest of equity and fairness, shouldn't the mtb subforum contain a sticky for each one?

How about something like this: "If any of you mtbers, anytime, anywhere, notice any sign of a person(s) who might be lost, injured, stranded, victim of foul play, or in any kind of distress whatsoever, CALL THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES."
Would that about cover it?

^Gotta agree on that one. Not to be cold, but I see dozens on missing person headlines on the AOL news feed every year, this one included, & I was surprised (to say the least) that it made it to BF. At first I thought that I might have missed something about her going missing after a biking trip or something relevant to the forum, but it's just another pretty young girl gone missing.
What I'm trying to say is I don't see how alerting all the bicyclists of this missing person will do any more good than putting it on national headlines, like what's already been done. That way millions of people see it instead of hundreds of thousands.
