This is such an unusual setup I wan't sure where to post it.
Since it is designed for 12/24hr timed events, why not here?
Started with a 2010 Giant Dash, ladies commuter bike.
To look at it one might wonder how you would last ten minutes on it. In reality it is quite comfortable and stable. I've had it up to 56mph, and despite there being only a single 52t ring, its ok on 10% grades. A hair under 20 lbs race-ready.
custom aspects not visible in photo:
co2 cartridge slides into steerer tube
spare tube in cell phone case beneath seat
pedal spindles are countersunk into cranks to decrease q factor about 1cm
shifter springs are detensioned for ultralight shifting action.
chain ring teeth given assymetric grind to prevent chain drop
cassette cog teeth modified to improve shifting
down tube foam filled for noise reduction
grease-based chain lube developed for quietness and cleanliness, extended service intervals
custom shifter cable guide beneath bottom bracket to reduce cable curvature
mtb derailleur with 105 cage, will handle a 36t cog
GPITA.
