Classic & Vintage - Scan Sport - Nordisk Model ... what do I have here? (lots of pics)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Last fall I picked up this bike for $1. I really didn't take any before shots, but it was pretty grungy. I replaced the bar tape, cables/housing, brake pads, tires/tubes, and saddle (had a 90s gel seat). I haven't been able to find any info on the make and model, and it's a strange hodge podge of parts, as far as I'm concerned.

Here's some pics:

From what I can determine on VeloBase.com:

Front Derailleur: Simplex Prestige
Rear Derailleur: Simplex Prestige
Shifters: Simplex Prestige
Bars: Sakae SR Custom B-78
Stem: SR (unknown model)
Bottom Bracket: Dura Ace GB-100 (Gen 1)
Crankset: Dura Ace (Gen 1)
Brakes: Altenburger (unknown model)
Levers: Altenburger Red Button (unknown model)
Rims: Ambrosio (unknown model)
Hubs: Shimano HC-110 High Flange
Freewheel: T.D.C.

Is this bike worth hanging onto? Is it actually valuable? I wish I could find ANY mention of this manufacturer... Thanks for any help!

Let's see - "scan sport" and 'nordisk' say 'scandanavian' to me.

Also the seat-tube serial number is a dead giveaway. Danish bikes have that.

http://www.longjohn.org/alter/alter_en.html

EE27277K

EE = Egedesø, Odense / Everton, Nørre-Åby (bought by Smith & Co in 1995)
27277 = sequential serial number
k = 1951 1973 1994 (so most likely 1973)

So it's a 1973 Egedesø / Everton whatever that is.

Looks like a cool bike, probably worth at least what you have in it. For sure you will be the only one in your riding club with one!

"Specially lacquered for the rough Nordic climate" made me laugh. Yes, it's Scandinavian.

It's also a frankenbike. Some components are not original.

How does it ride?
