Hello,
This is my 1st post here; I've been lurking the last few days, reading the archives, and have learned quite a bit.
Anyway, I'm getting back into road biking after a 10 year layoff (been doing mostly mtn. biking). After visiting the LBS's, I've found the following models in my size and price range, and would like to solicit the board's collective wisdom regarding pro's and con's of each:
'01 Cannondale R1000 Aero ($1559)
'01 Cannondale R1000 Si ($1559)
'02 Trek 2200 ($1499)
'02 Cannondale R700 Si ($1489)
Have only tested the Trek and R700 so far, and both feel great to me. Will be testing the R1000's this weekend.
My main use will be triathlons, duathlons, charity rides, and fitness; I'm 5'9"/170lbs, mostly a sprinter and climber, with a need for speed.
Thanks!
