Commuting - Marketplace "Bike Chic" feature

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was just listening to Marketplace, and they had a report on how companies are incorporating bikes in to their marketing strategies due to the high number of bike commuters like ourselves popping up in metro areas, and even smaller towns.
I specifically like the orange Public model :)

I'm thankful the trend is accelerating, just wish it was faster. Nice to have a positive reason for getting a bike, even if only for looks.

Well, cars are cool mainly because of looks. Many people never race their Corvette's or 370Z's. I just want to see more smaller towns get bike-friendly. With the ability to pay bills online, and banking online, and even shopping online, we are really in a prime era to move toward villages. I know that living here in Clemson has been amazing on a bike, and I will suspect that my home town of Simpsonville (a small suburb of Greenville) would be similar to ride in... if only they would support a very minor change to how they build roads.
