Fifty Plus (50+) - More Bib talk

Does anyone else have problems finding bibs with long enough straps? My arms and torso are long, but when I get bibs (usually in "large" size) for a reasonable fit with the straps, the legs are too long and the chamois fits too loose. If I get a medium, the straps are way too short, and therefore are not comfortable. The best fit so far is a large Pearl Izumi, but even then, the chamois and long leg problem exists...

I saw the tall ones on the Zinn Cycles website, but figure the legs would be way long:

These fit all sizes up to 18 months.

Look at the Italian Manufacturers. They seem to think that all riders are Tall and slim.

PI, Giordana and Garneau all have decent shoulder to crotch length.

My torso is also a bit longer than most (or one might say my legs are shorter). In any event. I've made the trade off of rolling up the longer legs on bibs. Often I find the leg length goes below my knees. Right now I'm especially happy with a pair of Pearl Izumi's, a pair of Adidas, and two pair of Performance Elite. One thing I found out about Performance is that the same model in the same size often differs by an inch in leg length. I'm lucky that there are two Performance stores within half an hour's drive. So, I'll go to both and compare individual bibs with one another.

Check how they feel when you are bending forward such as when riding on the hoods or in the drops. The idea behind bibs is to hold the chamois in place in those positions. The straps may seem short when standing up.
