Hi all,
I am looking at purchasing my first bike, and have come across a Cannondale R600 that appears from the photos and descriptions to be in relatively nice shape. It is a 1992.
The owner says it really hasn't been ridden steadily since 1996, but that his brother rides it a few times a year when he comes to visit.
However, in my internet research I read that there may have been some issue with frame failure/fracture near the seatstays on these types of frames. Can anyone provide further insight if this is true, is it something I should be worried about, where should I look when I see the bike tomorrow? Also, would 250 be a fair price for this bike (a 61 cm, and they are very hard to find)? Thanks for any help you can provide.
