Depends on how long you want to hold it. If your timeline is 10 to 20 years, a US based Index Fund is probably not a bad idea. Shorter term is a crap shoot. My opinion is that North American Co's have a long ways to go to become competitive in the world markets, that combined with huge US debt and I believe we're in for an extended, underperforming North American Market.
