Advocacy & Safety - LEO tries to kick cyclist at rally?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It is hard for me to see what happened. But the LEOs did not like that they were being filmed.

This video is a couple years old (more or less). It's from a critical mass a while back. The LAPD has actually done a pretty good job (in my opinion) at patching up relations with cyclists since then as a result of the fallout from the video.

All the more reason that *everyone* with a camera should stop and record scenes like this. They may be able to attack a few, but they can't stop everyone. Get those videos on the internet first, then notify local media, civil rights groups, etc... Also remember this handy application: http://qik.com/ - this way, if you're phone is stolen/destroyed by a jackboot, the video of it happening is still on the internet. That way, it's a little harder for them to destroy evidence of their crimes.
