Rode to the "Ride To Work Day", breakfast in Colorado Springs this morning, it seems I'm the only recumbent in a Sea of bicycles! On the local roads and trails, I usually see either a recumbent bike or trike when I ride, sometimes, quite a few but today "I was the old weirdo" riding the recumbent, LOL!:thumb:

Yes it seems to happen in waves. I've been in a century where I was the lone bent, others where there were many.
