Touring - American Discovery Trail Denver to Pueblo - Tourable on 38c?

I am looking to take a train into Denver then tour down to Pueble over 3 days. I can't seem to find any information as to what one would expect for the trail. The website doesn't really tell you anything about trail makeup. It is easy to find an alternative route via the CO DOT map but I would like to ride the American Discovery if possible.

Has anyone toured on it? I am wondering if the trail is rideable with 700x38c with a medium loaded LHT. Or it is more of a mountain trail where I would need beefier tires?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Also, here is a post about a possible non ADT route that I created off the CO DOT map and Google Maps.

From the ADT website link you posted:[quote]. Most of the route east of Denver uses roads; west of Denver it is mostly off road on trails. [\quote]Based on that, shrug, how strong are your legs?
