Hi, Everybody.

I'm finally making the crossover from a hybrid to a roadie. I've been on a Trek 7300 for the past three years and, tomorrow morning, will take possession of a new Madone 5.2. It's quite an upgrade and I'm really excited about it.

The whole process took about 5 weeks from test riding to the bike actually being ready for pick-up at the LBS.

Sorry, I just had to tell somebody and none of my "normal" friends could really give a hill of beans

Anyway, thanks for your indulgence. Ride fast, ride safe, and keep the faith.

John

As the above poster said, Congrats !! I would be smiling ear to ear for a new bike :) Non-riders don't seem to understand.

Jbrow, thanks. I've got two very close friends who are competitive triathletes. Both have them have been calling me for the past two weeks with the "Did ya get it, yet?! Did ya get it, yet?!". It's funny, I guess I've gone Full Geek, lol. My non-cycling friends just roll their eyes and walk away. I remember when I used to be "cool" like that. But this is WAY more fun!

Tomorrow you get to ride. But we need a picture by the next day!

Goldfinch, I promise I'll get some up tomorrow afternoon. I won't actually be able to get it out on the road until early afternoon and it'll already be about 100 degrees here. So it'll be a short ride. lol
