...what brand is your favorite? I've recently purchased three pair of Levis 501 Shrink-To-Fit and I've been very happy with them so far.
What are you favorite pair of jeans?
Couch
Carhartt and Levis. Not sure what # Levis but they're baggier than 501s.

501's. Usually pick up a few pair when they go on a 50% off sale.

I could not accept the political agenda of the management of Levis company so I switched to Wranglers. I found that I like the Wranglers jeans better than the Levis jeans.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with Levis now that they're no longer made in the US. They aren't as durable, but they fit me better than most.

Ann Taylor Loft. They fit, and if I wait long enough I can get them on sale for less than $25.

I don't like button fly pants/jeans. I like the relaxed fit Lee jeans. I get them on sale at the outlet mall down the road.

Kirkland (Costco). Whatever style/cut they are. I don't worry about it much.

505s - usually off ebay; actually ~8 months of the year it's whatever cargo shorts I can get from campmor or sierra trading post

Wranglers for me.

I usually wear Dickies or Dockers slacks nowadays. The 2 pair of jeans I do own are Wranglers and I may just stick to that brand if I ever get anymore jeans.

Levis 550 for knocking about/work jeans
Lucky 181 for everyday wear (221s are nice, but too tight around the quads for most cyclists.)
7 For All Mankind (forget which style, something button fly), and Citizens of Humanity "Evans" for 'going out' jeans.
Want to get a pair of 501 original selvedge, but they never seem to have my size.

7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity and Joes Jeans all hold up well and come equipped with zippers that stay put.
Walmart on sale, Wranglers most of the time. Shorts in the summer, carpenters.
Since I started biking, I no longer have to pay extra for large sizes!

These are a pair of the STF 501s I picked up the other day. They are amazingly comfortable. I wore them damp, as they were shrinking, at the local dog park the other day. They fit my body and legs like a glove.....a very disgusting yet comfortable glove.

I tried on a couple different styles of Joes, and couldn't find one (even their "relaxed fit") that wasn't painted onto my quads. It's been the consistent issue when trying to find jeans: If they fit around the waist and cuff, they're tight in the quads. If they're OK at the quads, then they're usually really loose at the cuffs.

I'm old school. Jeans should have buttons and be dark blue and hard as a rock when you first buy them.

+1
Levis 501s.
The best jeans I ever bought, however, were a pair from J. Peterman back ca. 1991. Very soft, very thick fabric and cut perfectly (for my lower half, anyway).

whatever is on sale...they only get worn to do yard work in...and even then its not often. Shorts are far more comfortable.

I wore nothing but Wrangler Rustlers from childhood through dating she who would become my wife, who suggested I pay three times the price for Old Navy jeans. I did... once. Then I realized that I didn't really care for the way jeans fit me and now wear either convertible/travel pants or BDU pants, or shorts.

Wearing jeans (generally, clothing) is to some extent a matter of gift wrap. You may better enjoy your clothing by wearing something that a partner enjoys looking at and handles, before unwrapping. Toy Story 3 reminds us a toy wants to be played with, and is happier when played with more. It might be that your favorite jeans are a pair you don't get to wear so much.
Sedgefield brand was nicely designed, some constructed with great fabric textures.
Levis 501 has its attractions, recently improved fabric weaves.
CKlein at one time generally had the best fashion of any brand, enhanced by models who made partially-undressed jeans seem more attractive than wearing a pair, but typically did little for my body though I still liked how a pair looked on others.

I dont care what brand as long as they are boot cut (im from the 90s and think skinny, tube, and relaxed all look awful. At least on me). But I love Wrangler boot. Great pants, that last over 7 years, and have that genuine worn look that people pay big $$$ for in the mall.

Used to be a Levi's 505 guy...but about a year ago I discovered Wranglers, & they just seem to fit more comfortably more consistently.

When I have to wear jeans I wear Wranglers... seem to have a better fit for Scottish cyclists as levis seem to cut off circulation and don;t allow for the same freedom of movement.
And Wranglers are tough and Worksman like while Levi's self destruct under hard use.

I've worn nothing but Levis 505 for the past 30 years or so. I can't stand the relaxed fit styles that have been popular since the 80's

So how does your ass look in them compared to wrangler?

Heck with that. I wear my kilt and stand out on my windy 7th floor balcony. You don't wanna see it, there's plenty of other places you can look.

American Eagle jeans. All of their clothes are comfy and long lasting. Love their cargo shorts. I was born in 77 so their whole "est. 1977" thing works well for me.
