Will this setup work okay? The crank setup is out of an 80's Diamondback race frame with a Euro BB. The bearing cups or whatever measured at 1 3/8" (~35mm) in diameter. Picture of the setup for reference:

I see no reason it won't as long as your frame is English thread. the Maxycross works with the same bottom bracket spindle width as a track crank set. we don't usually refer to threaded English bottom bracket's as "Euro" here, that is strictly a BMX acronym ;) The Maxycross is a real nice crank set though for a vintage BMX build.
