I am trying to avoid problems encountered while riding in sub-zero temps last Winter… specifically cable-related problems with derailers and with braking cables.


Have any of you had experience with the following lube?:

This sounds like it might be the ticket but it is a bit expensive for the quantity.

10 degrees below zero and 15 mile riding with 20 mph winds is about my limit (roughly about sub-41) but my cables have been freezing well above what I feel is a do-able Winter temp…. and few people are on the trails at that temp so riding is quite peaceful! Also I commute so don't want my brakes to not be working when I am heading to or from work!

A bump for you. I need to know as well about some lubes which will work well for very cold and sometimes very wet conditions.
