I don't know anything about that model, personally, but I can tell you that posting pictures of your bicycle will get you the most information. Good luck!

Run of the mill, late '60s Raleigh musclebike. Very little demand in comparison to the Schwinn Stingrays.
I've yet to see a chrome one - that should be a bit more interesting. Post a photo.

I have a chrome Raleigh Roadster and have seen a couple DL-1's and a Sports model in all chrome. Nobody is 100% sure on the origin of these "boss" bikes but the general consensus is that high performing dealers were awarded these bikes, perhaps as part of a promotion or to use as a display piece to increase floor traffic. Maybe this is one of these special bikes.

Not trying to sell it here just showing it to the people interested in seeing what it looks like
Curiosity got the best of me given the tact in this thread. It's a lovely ALL CAPS CRAIGSLIST AD THAT MAKES ME WANT TO GOUGE OUT MY EYES. That said, it's a nice color combination.

It is pretty neat! May be a rare piece. There are some good Raleigh bicycle forums out there. Maybe someone on one of those can tell you more about it.
Try this one first...

Cool bike.
What I don't get (and this is a sincere observation) is why people take photos of bikes with pools in the background? Maybe it's just a coincidence in this case, but it's not always. Is it intended to remind a buyer of good times? or sooth them? or persuade them to forego tough negotiations? For some reason, I always picture someone riding the bike into the pool.

Bob, that was uncalled for. If you're ever in Louisville please look me up. I'd like to talk to you about manners and etiquette.
No need for the chest thumping.
