Illegally parking in sidewalks is prevalent here in New York City today,
just go to any police and/or fire station. The lawbreakers are police
and firemen.

The local newspaper here would have a field day with the photos of illegally parked civil servant cars. San Diego is in a budget crisis; parking fines are a source of revenue.
