Hey all, just signed up for the board this morning and wanted to say "hi." so Hi...

Currently I'm riding around the mountains in a Giant Revel 2, but hope to get into road riding soon. I'm looking to test drive a Felt Z85 next week and possibly buy one if I like it.
Ultimate goal is to ride a lot and sign up for Lifecycle next year. http://www.aidslifecycle.org/

Anyhoozers, I'll try to read up on this section to see if I find any cool rides in San Diego.

Any recommendations for some easy/intermediate MTB trails?

So far I've been to Noble Canyon, Alpine, Mission Trails, Tecolote Canyon and some easy beach cruises.

Carlos

Welcome.

Sycamore near Poway, Lake Hodges, Daley Ranch and Black Mountain are some more San Diego MTB favorites. Hodges and Daley Ranch have some nice easy/intermediate trails.

Here's a site with several trail reviews to give you more ideas.

I liked Daley Ranch. I'll have to check out Sycamore one of these weekends.

Hey Carlos! Welcome to SD! You should stop by the Velodrome on Morley Field in Balboa Park on Saturday mornings. I'm usually there between 10 and 1, although members often open up earlier. There is no charge for track use. This is open riding hours for the public and you can use any kind of bike. The banking is a relaxed 27 degree maximum in the turns, so no chance of slipping at low speeds like in LA with their 45 degree turns.

So I went to the LBS and test rode a variety of road bikes for a couple of miles. Ended up getting the Z5

Not a big fan of the white wheels and tape, but I'll change them in the future.
