Searched and couldn't find much on cracked sidewalls. I am relatively new to MTB, put have put about 1000 miles total on the pavement on these tires at college. Do they need replacing or are they good till the tread is worn more?

The cracking as you see here goes all the way around both tires mostly under the outermost knobs but a little in between the outermost knobs.

I have been hitting the trails weekly now, and am getting concerned with the cracking.

I wouldn't ride those in the woods without bringing a kevlar beaded spare (maybe two) along with me.

I think they are fine, I ride tyres that look like that or worse.
