General Cycling Discussion - Recommendations of a shoe for clipless pedals

I'm sorry I didn't know how to title this post better. I'm about to buy a set of Shimano PD-M324 ATB pedals, they have the clipless set up on one side and regular pedal on the other. I figured that would be a good way to transition to clipless.

Now the thing is, I'm looking for a shoe. I want something that I can wear to possibly walk into a store and such, during or post-ride. I've read that a touring shoe is a good in between.

I have a mountain bike, and I do about 40% mountain biking and 60% on road cycling. Next summer I'm going to look into getting a full time road bike, but currently that's not in the cards.

So if anyone can recommend a good shoe.

Get the Shimano sandle. I use it all the time for walking and cycling. Transition is about as easy as walking itself. I am so happy with my sandals right now that I think I'm going to buy another couple of pairs this winter. I haven't even stopped wearing them in the winter time, I juse wear neoprene boots or toesies over my shoes.

I wear the Specialized Taho. I like it alot, I walk around work all day (10 hours a day) and they're comfortable, plus the cleat is set deep enough in the shoe that it doesn't clip clop on the tile. Just my 2 cents. they were like 60 bucks at the LBS.

I like both options!!! I think I"ll get the Specialized ones for the rest of the season, and I think I may even be able to get away with those in corp america.

The Shimano ones will be great on the weekends and during the summer :-)

Is it not good to plan out the spending of your paycheck before it's deposited ;-)

I have the black/yellow ones...I think they're a little more sporty per say than the trail version. Either will work. No one at work has said anything about them and I am required to wear 'business/ casual attire'
