Just found a good cheap T Shirt for seven bucks - Yes I know its not a bike shirt - But I can't afford those and these will do...

Got one for each color of my bikes - (not so happy with shipping costs but still worth it)

Those Champion C9 athletic shirts at Target seem similar. They start around $10 and can often be found on the discount rack for less.

Looks nice.

It reminds me of the old Star Trek joke: " The good news is you will be on the away team, The bad news is the Captain has assighned you to wear the red shirt"

I actually prefer generic athletic shirts to cycling jerseys. I love the back pockets that jerseys have, but I can't stand the snug fit, it drives me batty.

I've gotten used to the athletic shirts at the local Kohl's. Cheaply made, but they still wick well, and do come in lighter colors. They frequently go on sale for about $14, then with another30% off (it pays to christmas shop there), gets you under $10.

Here, they have a Ross Dress for Less....you can get the Dri-Fit by Nike, Reebok, etc for about $8-$10, and I do, not needing the pockets in the summer. I also wear the sleeveless Champions from Target, great bike jerseys for hot summer days.

My favorite long-sleeve jerseys don't have pockets, either. The long-sleeve running jersey from last year's Chicago Marathon is my favorite, and an Asics running jersey. For some reason, they feel better than long-sleeve bike jerseys.

I prefer a wedge bag that holds what I need, and simply am not big on filling jersey pockets up. I sometimes prefer the longer bike jerseys to avoid the plumber effect that sometimes happens with the shorter T's.
