Following the minor heart attack in August I had the treadmill test 3 weeks ago. I got the report by post today. I was tested on the Bruce Protocol tradmill test and my cardiologist rated my performance as "very satisfactory". I research this protocol on the net and I found two sources that use the test in athlete assessment. The range they rate for is 9-15 and I ranked 12, straight down the middle. At 50, I think this is a fantastic result. All the time in the gym and on the bike has paid off.

To say I am happy and cock-a-hoop is an understatement. Sorry guys, I just had to share that.

Bring on the 25 yr old triathletes. I'll wipe their noses in my trail dust. :D
