Kick off the fall bicycling season by joining us for a wonderful bicycle ride through scenic Western Gibson County in Southwestern Indiana. We will be holding the 2nd annual Lyles Station New Beginnings Bicycle Ride in conjunction with the Lyles Station School New Beginnings Celebration. We hope to make this a recurring annual event. We have 3 routes available for riders. There is a 20 mile, 45 mile, and 100K(62 mile) route route. The roads are fairly smooth paved roads. The 20 and 45 mile routes cover mostly rural areas and are mostly flat, but there are a few hills to add some challenges and excitement.

The 100K route will be on paved, little travelled state highways and paved county roads through mostly rural scenic areas. This route has some larger hills, but still has a lot of flat ground to relax. We will offer rest stops on all routes and rescue vehicles will be available to cover the routes.

Proceeds go to the Lyles Station School Historical Assn. to help operate their after school tutoring program for grade school and high school students needing extra help with school work.

Transport vehicles will be off the course at 2:00PM, cell phone numbers will be available for SOS calls

Ride starts and finishes at Lyles station School West of Princeton, In.

Pre- Registration is available

Cue sheets and route maps available on the day of the ride

Helmets are required and all traffic laws will be obeyed

Routes will be well marked using the Dan Henry method

Snacks and drinks will be at the rest stops, as well as restrooms

Traffic control at some intersections

Riders are responsible for their own safety at all times

Riders will have to make their own repairs using their own tools. Some tools may be available, but bring your own just in case. It is possible we will have SAG support.

Bicycles and riders should be in good shape for a ride.
