Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - group night rides in SF?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
are there any fg/ss night rides in the city? doesn't have to be a fg/ss but when i lived in HNL i guess the night rides tended to be a fg thing. was trying to search online but couldn't find. or maybe i'm looking in the wrong place? or maybe it's an exclusive thing? :P

A few friends and I have been riding from Bayshore -> Embarcadero area, usually around midnight to whenever. Don't really know why but our schedules just end up that way plus roads are empty and the city seems to "talk" to you more. I actually have started to really like it. Also it's not just fixed that we ride with. So if you'd like to join us you're more than welcome to as long as you ride within a reasonably safe manner. No offense but we're not macaframmin every intersection. Pm me if you'd like, I'll send you my cell numero.

... interesting group... they require the meet point to serve alcohol and actively encourage drunken riding..
As usual, we recommend lights and helmets, warm layers of clothes, cameras, music and a nice bottle of wine
why even bother mentioning a helmet and lights if you're going to recommend people ride intoxicated?
