EDIT: I picked the first song, so now go have a listen here (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ynyfnz...0cover%292.mp3)and give me comments/suggestions/criticisms. Thanks!

Sooo...I got talked into signing up for this year's Anime Expo Idol competition, and I NEED HALP OMGWTFBBQ WHAT WAS I THINKING ASDFGHJKLQIUKJFGN.

:crash::troll::bang:

Ok, sorry. I'm calm now. It's basically a singing competition where we choose songs from Anime series (or Vocaloids). I have a couple of songs I'm choosing from, and I want you guys to vote on which one I should sing for this contest. Try to base your choice on the following criteria:

1) How well it fits my vocal range and voice type. Does the song make me sound good, or is it in a weird part of my vocal range and therefore comes out strangled and horrible?

2) Crowd appeal. if I sing this song in front of a group of hundreds of people, will they appreciate it? Will they get bored? Will it make them want to cheer, or boo?

3) Difficulty. Obviously, since this is a song competition, the more difficult the song is, the better.

4) How long the breaks/instrumental sections in the song are. This is so I don't have to stand on the stage looking like a dork while a super long instrumental is playing. Shorter is better, but I suppose even if the instrumentals are long, I'll figure something out. I'll do a little dance, maybe'

Don't base your song choice on how well I sang the song in the recording (e.g. how in tune I am, how many mistakes I made in the lyrics, etc.). I know I didn't do a perfect job because heck, it's way too early in the morning and I've been singing for about an hour and a half already. Some of the songs were sung later, and of course they would sound a bit worse because my vocal chords are already tired. I think y'all can tell by listening to the songs which ones I did first and which ones I did later, lol. Plus all I did to mix and edit the songs was slap on a little bit of reverb just to get my voice to carry over the background music, so there will be times where the volume is weird or there are clipped tones and crackly static. I apologize for those, but just try to ignore the errors and weirdness as much as possible because I will practice and perfect the songs eventually. If the songs are so badly staticky that you can't tell which from what, let me know and I'll try to upload better versions.

You can just pick from the poll, but it would really also be helpful if you could also say in the comments why you picked the particular song, and give any comments on how I can better sing these songs.

Here are the songs:

Hatsune Miku - Koi wa Sensou (composed by Ryo) (http://www.mediafire.com/file/gnv8p8ifnx90658/Hatsune%20Miku%20-%20Koi%20wa%20Sensou%20%28Nekohime%20cover%29.mp3)

Kisida Kyodan & The Akeboshi Rockets - High School of the Dead (HOTD Opening) (http://www.mediafire.com/file/vtj8eftuj94wgko/HOTD%20%28Nekohime%20cover%29.mp3)

Again, sorry for assaulting your ears with badly sung/mixed songs ^^;. But thanks in advance to whomever listens and votes/comments!

Ohhhkay, so at another forum I'm on, the vote was decidedly skewed toward the first song, Koi wa Sensou, so I'm going with that. With that said, I recorded a better version.

Here are the translated lyrics (http://www.animelyrics.com/doujin/vocaloid/koiwasensou.htm). Do you think I captured the meaning of the song with my performance? What do I have to change vocally or emotionally? Any tips on how I can improve the performance (especially that first held looong note--I really feel the strain when I do that)? I know it's still not 100% perfect, so any comments or criticism would really help!:D
