I transplanted myself from Mid-West to the CA desert. Intend to ride locally and not attack any major hills. LBS has a green Redline Monocog Flight that caught my eye. Could not find any info on it on their site. Checked archives back to 2009. Dealer tried to tell me it was "last year's model". Anyway it is a 19" and a little too big. They also had a D460 in a 17 that also had the Sanko tubing and felt right. Gears in back would actually be good for me. I have pretty much ascertained it to be a 2008. They are not willing to budge from MSRP so I want to weigh all the options. What other 29ER's are available with high end CroMo and sans suspension fork?

Have you looked at the Zion 737 Steel frames?
