I'm working on my first single speed build and need some advice. The old Marinoni frame I bought for this project is Italian-threaded, and I'm struggling to figure out which parts to buy for the crankset - so far, I'm considering:
S300 1.1 or Omnium cranks with GXP Blackbox BB?
ISO cranks to go with a 70mm Campy BB?
Has anyone built up a single-speed crankset on an Italian threaded frame; what parts did you use? Thanks

miche advanced with ital thread BB is a nice price point, I built a beautiful bianchi super pista with the advanced grouppo for my buddy, the stuff was nice. There is always campy record. SRAM omnium and S300 have ital thread BB cups available but not always included as a set.
s300 cheapest
then omnium
then miche (bb not included)
campy is super pricey
Are you sure that Marinoni is Italian threaded? Mine was English.
The bottom bracket threading should have no impact on crankset choice unless it calls for a very odd spindle length that can't be found in Italian threaded BB's.

Shimano have Italian threaded bbs as well.
I didn't mention Shimano because of the complications of matching a suitable set of track cranks to a square taper BB (too many options and chain-line issues to be bothered) & the fact that Shimano does not make a external BB track crank ... yet.

I only mentioned so because it opens up more crankset options.

Thanks for the advice - any thoughts on pairing the Shimano UN54 107mm BB with Sugino RD cranks?
rd's need a 103, shimano doesn't make one ital thread, sugino sells their own BB for this crankset and I am almost positive it is not available ital thread
