Hello everyone,
I am in the process of over hauling my old Yokota Yosemite Mt. bike. I have gotten everything apart and it appears that the freehub is not doing well. I know I can purchase a new wheel but I would rather just replace the freehub if I can do that.
The sprocket/cassette are Shimano HG - 7 sprockets/gears. The smallest sprocket/gear was loose with a spacer between it an the larger sprockets/gears (which are riveted together).
Below are some measurements I took of the freehub. I will label the measurement as the freehub mounts to the bike.
Total width = 35mm
Width where cassette sits = 31mm
Total diameter = 36mm
Diameter where cassette sits = 34mm
I have also attached some pictures.
From looking around I know this freehub is a Hyperglide because the threads for the sprocket lock nut is on the inside of the cylinder only (no threads on the outside). Also from what research I did this is NOT a 'Hyperglide-C' because the ridges which the sprockets catch on goes all the way to the end/edge of the freehub.
I thank you guys in advance for any help you can provide me with.
