You should buy a trials video and start with the basics. at first most of the stuff will seem near impossible but with practice you will be surprised by what you pick up. Trails takes years to perfect.....so get started now! I started by learning how to get up on the back wheel first....from there I learned forward hops(using quarter pedal strokes) and side hops. You wil ruin alot of parts before you get smooth, so be prepared to have to spend some cash. and i would definitly get some shin/knee pads for the first little while, while you're still falling alot. remember to stay within your skill level, learn on small stuff and once you perfect it, move onto bigger and better things.
