Introductions - From West Virginia

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Glad to have found the forum. Always interested to talk to fellow cyclists. I have been riding seriously for the last 3 years and getting more obssesed with cycling each year. I am 31 and wished I would have found the sport sooner. WV is great place to road cycle and mountain bike. Small amounts of traffic and plenty of paved back roads. Not for the person who doesn't like to climb. We spend a lot of time heading up when riding, but we also get the great decsents as well.

Welcome JD. I live in Cow-lumbus, 4.5 hours from the New River Bridge. West Virginia-the best thing to ever happen to Ohio! I love mountain biking in WV-like you say, all up and down. Hardtail country at its best!

Hi jdonzella, and many welcomes! I've done some great mountain biking in WV including Slaty Fork, Snowshoe, Canaan, Big Bear Lake, and Coopers Rock. What a great state to cycle in! :)
