Hi,
I'm looking for a decent single speed commuter bike. A store near me, in Toronto, has the KHS Urban Soul for $415 and a 2010 Flite 100, with a straight handlebar and front and rear brakes for $650.

I am wondering what people suggest? I am guessing the Flite 100 is a better deal, but would it be more bike than I need? Also, I guess there's a significant difference in frame geometry, which may dictate one being better than the other for commuting, rather than track. I don't think I see myself riding on a track anytime soon.

I'm going to be putting a rear rack on either one, so I'm kinda ruining the weight/esthetics, but hey.

Here's links. The 2010 has mounts for rear racks, and the brakes.

Kilo TT

(because it's the same frame as the Flite 100 but it's cheaper than the Urban Soul)

Yeah, if I lived in the states, but I'm in Toronto, Canada and dont' want to deal with the shipping issues.

I've sold both of these bikes extensively ...
the soul is nothing like the flight, if you want a slouchy ride with relaxed handling and you more of a casual rider that doesn't want to spend $600+ go with the soul. But, be aware the saddle and seat post suck and the rest of the parts aren't great either, hence the price (that's full retail on that btw), try to talk the shop into upgrading the saddle & post to sweeten the deal, they have a lot of margin in that price. The flight is nice bike geometry wise, the wheels kinda suck though especially the hubs, but that's a given at that price break.

Is it really the same? I was looking at a Flite, but a TT is fine if the geometry is the same.

Identical frames, its also the same frame as a Fuji Track. They are just re-branded.
