This bike came up for sale locally. It isn't my size but I knew it would end up as a hybrid if I didn't. The fork is a cast aluminum unit and internally slugged. It seems to be all original. This bike still has the clear plastic ends on the cables. Please enjoy.

Frank, I like the Lamberts. My sister has one she bought new in the late '70s, rode it for years and retired it when she recently learned of the death fork. I'll try to get a picture of it this weekend.

At least for time it was unusual for a bike brand to manufacture everything possible in-house and I think that makes the Lamberts and Viscounts a little extra special. Congrats on the bike and I can understand why you bought it.

That chainring has a nice 70's futuristic "ring" to it. /punintended

I just spent four days riding my Viscount on Cape Cod. Very pleasant bike.

Nice find and hard to find them as original as that. I've just finished a Viscount aerospace restoration and it rides amazingly well, to add to the excitment it has the original so called 'death fork'. Although mine has the 3rd version fork with the steel pin.
