hello,

first time poster. i have a mid 90's gt outpost with acera x crank set up and would like some help on the process and tools involved for removing the crank bearings for servicing. i purchased the crank removal tool and have the cranks off but now i have no idea how to remove the rest of the set up to get at the bearings so i can clean them off and re grease them. i would appreciate any guidance with the process as well as what tooling i may need to get to complete the task. thanks in advance.

As above for the tutorials, for the crank bearing, it does not have one, you have a Bottom Bracket, which has the bearings in, this should be a sealed, disposable unit,

LOL. I don't have anything constructive to add, but this post scared me for a second. My bike, a mid 90's GT outpost... is at my LBS right now getting its acera crank changed.

I thought for a moment the guys at my LBS didn't know how to do this and turned to BF for help...
